Christian Ethics (Part 1) Floyd Williamson Auditorium, All adults

As Christians, we believe that God has revealed his moral and ethical truths through the Bible and that they are true for all people (John 8:31-32; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; Colossians 3:1-11). Yet our struggle is that we live in this world and are somewhat shaped and formed by our human culture. So the study of Christian ethics is not just about learning what the Bible has to say about topics – such as marriage, homosexuality, euthanasia, suicide, military service, justice, etc…, but also wanting & willing to transform our way of thinking (which often means going

contrary to our culture) and live according to God’s “…good, pleasing, and perfect will” (Romans 12:2b). Students will learn what the Bible reveals about some difficult ethical issues, and will be encouraged to make a transformation in the way they and live.
